Role: 

Cyber Threat Analyst Intern

The Cyber Threat Analyst Intern will be responsible for learning about and assisting in the research, monitoring, and identifying of potential cyber threats for our presales team and proof of concept prospects. 

Duration: 

4 months or less

Hours: 

20 – 40 hours per week

The Securonix SNYPR platform is built on big data Hadoop technologies and is infinitely scalable. Our platform is used by some of the largest organizations in the financial, healthcare, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, and federal sectors. 

Requirements: 

  • Provide threat hunting activities in prospect POC environments which helps to demonstrate the Securonix platform capabilities
  • Provide Level 1 security investigation for POC environments by reviewing alerts, opening and documenting cases and investigation efforts.
  • Provide threat and vulnerability analysis and reporting.
  • Investigate, document, and report on information security issues and emerging trends.
  • Integrate and share information with other analysts and other teams
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications: 

  • Completion and/or pursuit of bachelor’s or master’s degree in a related field or equivalent demonstrated experience and knowledge
  • Knowledge of various security methodologies and processes, and technical security solutions (firewall, host logs like Windows and Unix and intrusion detection systems)
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP Protocols, network analysis, and network/security applications
  • Knowledge of common Internet protocols and applications
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • Strong attention to detail

Relevant experience: 

Entry Level Intern Role.  0-2 years of relevant experience.
