Job Description:

The Director of DevOps is the leader among leaders in the Cloud Engineering Services vertical. Cloud Services Engineering [CSE] is responsible for maintaining and enhancing the product services by providing DevOps tools, frameworks, and automation for ongoing operation challenges in the environment. The Director role models passion, accountability and creativity while leading an inclusive and diverse engineering organization in solving ongoing operation challenges. The goal for the DevOps division of the CSE Team is reduce the overall MTTD/MTTR for the various operational problems seen daily by the extended team.

As the Director of DevOps, you will lead our DevOps, Production Engineering, and Service Operation team that design, implement, and operate our hybrid-cloud infrastructure. You will lead the team of experienced DevOps to modernize, implement, optimize, and support our infrastructure and tools that provide building blocks for our developers to improve productivity.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience developing operational-based tools, managing hybrid/multi-cloud environments in a highly available, large scale, and global organization. Minimum Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience managing software product development teams
  • Experience building large and geographically disperse infrastructure supporting business-critical cloud & on-premises services
  • BS or MS in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years of people management and team leadership experience including headcount planning and developing strong and motivated teams
  • Experience working with AWS, Azure, GCP, or another public cloud
  • Experience with 24/7 site monitoring and ability to own uptime & performance SLA’s
  • Strong teamwork and partnering skills for cross-group collaboration
  • Operational experience at scale - designing and operating highly available, scalable, and fault-tolerant systems using best-of-breed technologies like containers, APIs, Data Platform, etc.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, able to collaborate and rally support
  • Comfortable leading discussions with upper management and have experience tailoring the level of technical details to suit the audience
