Job Description


Securonix provides the Next Generation Security and Information Event Management (SIEM) solution. As a recognized leader in the SIEM industry, Securonix helps some of largest organizations globally to detect sophisticated cyberattacks and rapidly respond to these attacks within minutes. With the Securonix SNYPR platform, organizations can collect billions of events each day and analyze them in near real time to detect advanced persistent threats (APTs), insider threats, privilege account misuses and online fraud. Securonix pioneered the User and Entity Behavior Analytics (UEBA) market and holds patents in the use of behavioural algorithms to detect malicious activities. The Securonix SNYPR platform is built on big data Hadoop technologies and is infinitely scalable. Our platform is used by some of the largest organizations in the financial, healthcare, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, and federal sectors. 

 Role and Responsibilities:

  • Help develop threat detection content for different technologies
  • Validate and improvise existing and new detection content in lab environment
  • Help setup detection lab
  • Work towards improving detection engineering processes
  • Implement prototype enhancement and analytics to improve detection capability of Snypr platform
  • Collaborate effectively with internal as well as cross-functional teams to align with existing processes and technologies 
  • Remain aware of latest threats and associated tools, techniques and actors
  • Perform evaluations of open-source or commercial products for integration or improvement in threat detection
  • Build scripts/tools for automation of in-house projects.

 Required Skills:

  • Prior hands-on experience building detection content and data-integration on alternate SIEM or UEBA platforms.
  • Conversant with log analysis techniques and important log types/events for popular technologies
  • Conversant with MITRE ATT&CK Framework and Cyber Kill-Chain
  • Strong understanding of offensive cybersecurity domain and how threat actors operate
  • Hands-on with popular attack tools
  • Experience with scripting and automation using Shell scripts, Python and/or Powershell
  • Working knowledge of code repositories like SVN and GIT
  • Comfortable with CLI and Linux environments
  • Working knowledge of MySQL queries
  • Self-starter with the ability to solve complex problems and deliver innovative solutions
  • Strong analytical capabilities 

 Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in development with frameworks such as Flask, Django
  • Knowledge of container technologies like Docker, AWS ECS
