Our platform is used by some of the largest organizations in the financial, healthcare, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, and federal sectors. 

Summary:

As the Director of Agile Practices and Program Management you will own agile practices within Product Engineering and Securonix R&D.  This is a critical role for R&D in scaling our organization within the hyper-growth company of Securonix. You will lead a growing organization of Agile practitioners, coaches, and scrum-masters and own the agile process direction and execution. This leader will ensure that we deliver the highest value in the shortest reasonable time through the core principles of agile and lean. Your responsibilities include hiring great people worldwide, mentoring through regular feedback, fostering career growth, and leading the team to a high bar. To succeed in this role, it is important to have a high passion for Agile software development and program management, an aptitude for organizational transformation, and possess a strong background in Agile, Scaled Agile, and other program management methodologies.  
 

Responsibilities: 

  • Hire, develop and grow a global team of Agile Coaches across multiple physical locations - including career development, coaching, and mentoring
  • Define and steer the organization's agile transformation strategy, including creation of an agile transformation roadmap
  • Serve in the role of "Agile Coach" through championing, training, and mentoring across the organization and in the community
  • Establish a mature and healthy agile software development working environment, within the context of our organizational values
  • Provide continuous improvements in operational capabilities to optimize efficiency
  • Provide metrics and regular updates on progress to the R&D organization, and other key stakeholders

  

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated prior success as an agile transformation leader in a multi-site SaaS software engineering organization
  • Experience as a people manager of Agile Coaches, Scrum Masters, within a geographically diverse organization with an eye toward diversity and inclusion
  • 5+ years of Agile experience (Scrum, Kanban), including Agile at Scale (e.g., Nexus, SAFe, Scrum at Scale, LESS).
  • Experience in Lean management practices
  • Has 3+ years’ experience with agile and team collaboration tools such as JIRA
  • Familiarity with traditional project and program management methodologies and software development
  • Is a thought leader on Agile, Agile at Scale, and Business Agility principles and practice
  • Possesses agile practitioner certifications (CSM, CSP, PMI-ACP, SaFe Agilist, and equivalent)
  • A builder of strong collaborative relationships across organizational boundaries
  • Has excellent written and verbal communication skills, executive presence, and the ability to give frank and empathetic feedback and coaching
  • An authentic, empathetic, and inspiring leader, dedicated to the growth and success of people
