Security Engineer
 
You will be part of the Securonix Threat Labs team (STL) which is responsible for all content created within the Snypr platform.  

Role and Responsibilities
  • Help develop threat detection content for different technologies

  • Validate and improvise existing and new detection content in lab environment

  • Help setup detection lab

  • Work towards improving detection engineering processes

  • Implement prototype enhancement and analytics to improve detection capability of Snypr platform

  • Collaborate effectively with internal as well as cross-functional teams to align with existing processes and technologies 

  • Remain aware of latest threats and associated tools, techniques and actors

  • Perform evaluations of open-source or commercial products for integration or improvement in threat detection

  • Build scripts/tools for automation of in-house projects

Required Skills
  • Prior hands-on experience building detection content and data-integration on alternate SIEM or UEBA platforms.

  • Conversant with log analysis techniques and important log types/events for popular technologies

  • Conversant with MITRE ATT&CK Framework and Cyber Kill-Chain

  • Strong understanding of offensive cybersecurity domain and how threat actors operate

  • Hands-on with popular attack tools

  • Experience with scripting and automation using Shell scripts, Python and/or Powershell

  • Working knowledge of code repositories like SVN and GIT

  • Comfortable with CLI and Linux environments

  • Working knowledge of MySQL queries

  • Self-starter with the ability to solve complex problems and deliver innovative solutions

  • Strong analytical capabilities 

Preferred Skills
  • Experience in development with frameworks such as Flask, Django

  • Knowledge of container technologies like Docker, AWS ECS
