Contracts Manager – Mid Level

What we are looking for:

We are looking for a talented and motivated Mid-Level Contracts Manager with solid contract management and technology experience, the desire to support rigorous growth, and jump in and assist in overhauling our current contract management process. We are looking for a motivated self-starter with superior organizational skills and an entrepreneurial spirit. The position reports to General Counsel. This role will provide legal support in contract drafting and negotiations, legal and policy compliance review, and other legal matters.  The Mid-Level Contracts Manager will collaborate with our global business team as well as other internal departments as needed to support global organizational growth.

What you’ll do:

  • Review, draft, interpret, approve, and negotiate a diverse variety of contracts including technology agreements, software license agreements, SaaS, consulting and development agreements, Statements of Work, non-disclosure agreements, contract amendments and extensions, and other agreements
  • Prepare legal responses to RFIs and RFPs
  • Manage and maintain contract templates
  • Collaborate and work closely with Legal Operations Manager to Leverage applicable tools to develop custom reports for analysis and data validation
  • Opportunity to work with general counsel in contracts process
  • Responsible for negotiating customer contracts
  • Project management: facilitating and consolidating multiple sources of information into a comprehensive contract inclusive of all stakeholder input
  • Proficiency in time management skills required to manage and support diverse types of agreements and product areas
  • Uses judgment, discretion and experience in decision making
  • A practical, creative and proactive problem-solver who is confident and calm under fire and a strong team player
  • Manage and meet aggressive internal SLAs and help juggle priorities in a fast-moving environment
  • Strong analytic skills with ability to interpret complex information and adapt it as needed
  • Identify and promote process-enhancement through gap analyses between existing product policies and procedures and business activities
  • Experience in some or all of the following areas is a plus: data privacy, and security, information security, and export control compliance, intellectual property, or HIPPA
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

What you have:

  • 7+ years of relevant legal experience, including experience software and/or SaaS industry
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • Contract Management certificate (from IACCM or NCMA) (preferred)
  • Experience with SaaS, Software, Partner Agreements
  • Ability to think independently
  • Experience with technology license agreements
  • Ability to analyze legal risks within contracts, and use appropriate judgement to escalate to senior contracts manager as necessary, for further evaluation or approval
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written) and advanced interpersonal and influencing skills to build trusted relationships internally and externally
  • Diligent and passionate
  • Ability to jump and enjoy working in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
