Summary

Core Responsibilities:

  • Become expert on all revenue contracts and revenue arrangements with customers.
  • Oversee integrity of bookings and ensure the consistent and accurate reporting of ARR.
  • Ensure billing accuracy and design a sustainable process for all billing processes.  (inc., overage billing, annual CPI increases, contractual uplifts, etc).
  • Ensure appropriate recognition of all revenues.
  • Review all closed won opportunities and renewals to ensure accurate revenue recognition and appropriate billing.
  • Review deferred revenue schedule and ensure proper recognition, no gaps in recognition, ensure all POs and service periods across renewals are contiguous and that we don’t have any overlapping periods or any gaps when we issue new POs.
  • Ensure straight lining of all deals across the entirety of the contract.
  • Ensure proper documentation of contract start and end dates based on review of all contracts.
  • Ensure proper sales tax item codes are assigned to each billable item by customer.
  • Ensure all appropriate compliance documentation is provided to each customer to ensure optimal tax outcomes for foreign and domestic customers.
  • Work with legal to ensure language in contracts is optimized from a revenue recognition perspective.
  • Ensure documentation on all PO’s includes all necessary data points, service periods, contract start and end dates and everything that we need to ensure our documentation is clean and contains all necessary elements.
  • Work directly with sales ops and serve as the accounting review of all deals before they go closed won.
